Benjamin & Darren - Hall Farm Hotel

I don’t think we could ever tire of the love, the story and the joining of two people; especially when a couple really pours their heart and soul into their wedding celebration criteria.

Benjamin and Darren cherished their skiing trips together including the cosy atmosphere that log cabins provided after a snowy, cold adventure outdoors. They liked rustic elements, but also wanted their big day to feel a little glamorous. While gold and silver have always been a popular choice for wedding colour schemes, Benjamin and Darren wanted to swap these traditional metallic hues with Rose Gold.

We worked with Benjamin and Darren to combine these ideas to create their perfect rustic rose gold romance wedding, from their wedding invitations to their venue decorations.

Their wedding invitations set the tone for the big day, making it clear to guests of the couple's themed intent. We made in-house cut invitations especially for Benjamin and Darren using quality brown kraft card for the rustic, log cabin vibe, combined with shimmering pearlescent white card inspired by the snowy outdoors from their favoured holidays. The glamorous Rose Gold colour was added in the form of shimmer ribbon and handmade rustic, rose gold, foil stag heads.

A great addition to any wedding are 'Order of the Day' programmes. They not only act as beautiful keepsake for guests, but they also have numerous practical uses too, such as keeping guests in order. We handmade Benjamin and Darren's programmes to match their wedding invitations, featuring a beautiful handmade, rustic, foil stag head, joining the couples names and date of the wedding. These particular programmes provided guests with a tissue for tears of happiness too.

Every guests felt like a VIP with our custom light up seating chart. Benjamin and Darren chose their favourite love songs and named each table after them, adding a further touch of their lives together in the concept of their beautiful wedding celebration, without going overboard.

Set in acres of farmland on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Benjamin and Darren held their wedding reception and ceremony at Hall Farm Hotel in Ashby Cum Fenby - one of our favourite local barn venues.

Aside from the rustic charm of the warm wooden-beamed ceilings, the architectural intimacy of Hall Farm naturally created the perfect setting for a cosy log cabin feel.

The main reception room of Hall Farm Hotel is the barn and it can hold up to an intimate number of 100 guests for a sit down meal. Adjacent to the main barn is a smaller building that can be used as an extra seating area if needed. Benjamin and Darren used this area for their wedding ceremony and later danced the night away on it's beautiful wooden floor.

The wedding ceremony is one of the most meaningful and emotive moments of the whole wedding day. The commitment, the exchange of loving words and vows, the declarations of love in front of your nearest and dearest. So when dressing the ceremony room for Benjamin and Darren, we took cues from the interior decorating and architecture, combined with the desired intimate atmosphere from the couple's criteria.

Therefore, using the natural antiquated wooden floor, we formed the aisle by framing it with garlands using everlasting greenery along both sides, adding quite the impact to the centreline view.

Spreading some atmospheric warmth to the ceremony room, we wrapped our wonderful string lights around every natural wooden ceiling beam. This equally provided a unique party setting when the area later turned into a dance floor. Perfect for romantic first dance photographs too.

The white washed, wooden, Chiavari Chairs gave a beautiful wash of snow and rustic look to the room, dressed with our subtle yet captivating bark love hearts. These endearing ornaments expressed that love was truly in the air.

The top table in the reception room was draped in our custom-made blush coloured sequin tablecloth that, combined with the surrounding guest tables in the room, adding a glamorous sparkle to the venue. The decor on the top table pulled together the overall look of the wedding using log candle holders and snowy-like Magnolia silk flowers in between.

Then we used our stunningly, luxurious, Magnolia centrepieces with moss on the guest tables, adding a perfect blend of rustic and glam. This dreamy arrangement, bursting with white blooms, inspired the desired snowy setting around the room.

During daylight hours, the main reception barn is lit by a huge south facing window filling the room with natural light, so we created a captivating, decorative "starry night" canopy using our warm cap Festoon lighting for a similar intimate atmosphere at night in this room too.

Rose Gold as an accent colour was a bold move - but it seriously paid off at their rustic, love filled barn wedding using our rustic rose gold charger plates dotted around the table scape. This gorgeous tone added a pop of colour to the more muted, natural surroundings of Hall Farm, working beautifully with the soft golden light in the barn. The perfect mix of glam elements and rustic decor resulted in an atmosphere that was both inviting and romantic.

The grounds surrounding Hall Farm Hotel are just as serene, offering a lake, meadows, open fields, farm tracks, old outbuildings and an intimate courtyard... you can definitely feel the love and fun times beautifully captured in these two pictures.
